Physicians on postage stamps

This website displays postage stamps which relate to medicine, specifically to physicians. There are lists of stamps organized by country and by person, and scanned stamp images. To navigate, follow the links above.

The stamp images are from my own collection. If you would like to use them, please contact me; permission will be granted for not-for-profit purposes.

Medical philately

There are a number of organizations that deal with medical stamp collecting.

One of them is the Medical Philately Study Group (based in the UK), which publishes the quarterly "MediTheme".

Another is the Medical Subjects Unit of the American Topical Association, which publishes "Scalpel and Tongs" six times a year (for information about joining the MSU, contact Dr. Fred C. Skvara at fcskvara@bellatlantic.net).
